Transforming Philanthropy for Racial Justice
News about FREA
Thank you for supporting FREA over the past few years. It is with sadness that we have decided to end the network’s current operations.
FREA’s steering group, with the support of Equally Ours, regretfully concluded that the network could not continue with the resources available to us.
FREA plans to preserve the network’s learning and legacy for the wider sector. You can contact us via frealliance@equallyours.org.uk for more information.
Thank you once again.

Our Objectives
Learning and applying best practice to make racial justice a reality in philanthropy
Increasing sustainable and flexible funding for organisations led by Black and Minoritised people
Increasing Black and Minoritised representation at all levels and improving internal organisational culture
Creating a funder road map towards racial justice
“The Alliance challenges us to do more because you see other funders do more. Members are ring-fencing funds, creating new initiatives, looking into their endowment history or addressing racial injustice in their own organisations. That pressure from members is welcome and we want to see more.”
